The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Single-Stage Thermoelectric Module family are suitable for a wide range of cooling and heating applications with low to high heat pumping capacities (depending on the module model). Typical applications for these standard TECs include biomedical instruments, consumer products, industrial equipment, electrical equipment and laboratory and scientific instruments. Standard substrates are lapped with +/-0.025mm tolerance.

The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Two-Stage Thermoelectric Module series are designed to provide significantly higher temperature differentials than are obtainable with standard single-stage modules. These multi-stage TECs are suitable for low temperature applications where a moderate cooling capacity is required. Typical applications for these specialized peltier coolers include IR detectors, CCD arrays, and electo-optics.

Three-Stage Peltier Coolers
Center Hole Peltier Coolers
The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Three-Stage Thermoelectric Module series are designed to provide significantly higher temperature differentials than are obtainable with standard single-stage modules. Multi-stage thermoelectric coolers are suitable for low temperature applications where a moderate cooling capacity is required. Typical application areas for these specialized TECs include IR detectors, CCD arrays, and electo-optics.
The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Center-Hole Thermoelectric Module series provide intermediate heat pumping capacity for cooling and heating applications that also require a center hole. These TECs are used in applications including industrial equipment, electrical equipment, laboratory instrumentation and opto-electronics. Standard substrates are lapped with +/-0.025mm tolerance.

Multi-Hole Peltier Coolers Round Peltier Coolers

The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Multi-hole Thermoelectric Module series have been specifically designed for 5.6 mm CAN type laser diodes. The increased contact area between the TEC and the laser diode package enables more uniform cooling and the target temperature to be achieved more rapidly. The optimized thermal contact area results in very stable thermal performance for the diode. Standard thermoelectric coolers are available for laser diodes with diameters ranging from 3.5-9.0mm. For other specific laser diode sizes or specialized peltier cooler design requirements, please contact your Ferrotec representative.

 The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Round Center-hole Thermoelectric Module series are suitable for cooling and heating applications that generally require intermediate pumping capacity. The round shape makes these thermoelectric coolers an ideal solution for special form-factor requirements. Typical applications for these TECs include industrial equipment, electrical equipment, laboratory instrumentation and opto-electronics. Standard substrates are lapped with +/-0.025mm tolerance.

Thin-Film Substrate Peltier Coolers

The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Miniature Module family of thermoelectric coolers are suitable for various cooling and heating applications where a small footprint or a small amount of heat is involved. Typical applications for these specialized TECs include laser diode cooling, infrared systems, electro-optics and electronic equipment and other low-wattage applications.

The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's Thin-Film Substrate Thermoelectric Modules offer thermal system engineers the flexibility to prototype specialized TECs. Ferrotec's Thin-Film Substrate modules can be rapidly prototyped in nearly any shape. Features such as internal thermistors or custom external metalization patterns can also be added to the thermoelectric module.

High Power Peltier Coolers
NORD TMC-Series Peltier Coolers For Thermal Cycling Applications

The peltier coolers in Ferrotec's High-Power Thermoelectric Module series are designed to maximize heat pumping capacity. These single-stage TECs enable increased cooling capacities and efficiencies in a standard thermoelectric cooler footprint. The high cooling density of these peltier coolers enables high-performance heat exchangers in smaller, more efficient sizes.

 Ferrotec now offers TMC-series peltier coolers for thermal cycling from SCTB NORD. These Thermoelectric Modules are designed for extended life in temperature cycling applications. Thermal cycling exposes a peltier cooler to demanding physical stresses as the module shifts from heating to cooling, and this can significantly reduce the operational life of a standard TEC.

Ferrotec can offer either small modifications to standard modules (such as custom wire leads, sealed modules etc.) or completely custom designed modules in terms of size, shape, substrate materials or metallization.
